El tradicional “equipo del pueblo” que participa en primera “A”, el pasado martes logró clasificarse a la copa Simón Bolívar, luego de una espectacular campaña ganando siete de sus nueve partidos y empatando los otros dos, quedando como campeón invicto de la primera rueda.
Al terminar esta primera parte del campeonato, el director técnico Domingo Sánchez y su ayudante de campo Miguel Ángel, “payo” Aramayo, tomaron la decisión de dar un paso al costado debido a que existían diferencias con la dirigencia especialmente con el Dr. Oscar Ojopi.
Según Sánchez, por su falta de interés en apoyar al plantel campeón, pues algunas acciones de éste para con el plantel, como el de quitar la alimentación a algunos de los jugadores y el incumplimiento salarial, molestó mucho a Sánchez y decidió de manera irrevocable renunciar a la dirección técnica de 1º de Mayo, la misma decisión sostuvo Aramayo.
A pocos días del inicio del segundo campeonato, el plantel mayista se encuentra sin cuerpo técnico quedando a cargo provisionalmente el preparador físico Guido Villarroel.
