En su mes aniversario número 59, la nueva directiva del Club Deportivo Social y Cultural "U-Cruceña" de la Gabriel René Moreno, pretende potenciar a todas sus disciplinas deportivas.
El plan de trabajo. El presidente del club, Héctor Saldías, que recientemente tomó el mando por la gestión 2013-2015, manifestó que el objetivo es darles mejores condiciones a las disciplinas de básquetbol, futsal, tenis de mesa, frontón, vóleibol, esgrima, raquet, entre otros. "Hace tiempo que nuestros equipos no son protagonistas en los campeonatos locales. Entonces queremos darle el impulso para que la 'U' vuelva a los primeros lugares", aseguró.
Saldías conjuntamente con su directiva, docentes y el alumnado de la universidad buscarán recaudar fondos económicos para sustentar a cada disciplina.
Quieren a la 'U' en la Liga. Otro de los objetivos está centrado en el equipo de fútbol que actualmente compite en los torneos de la Asociación Cruceña de Fútbol (ACF).
"Nuestro sueño es que la 'U' llegue a jugar en la Liga del Fútbol Profesional Boliviano y para ello debemos unirnos todos", explicó el titular del club.
Para ello van a comenzar a evaluar a sus jugadores que tienen en las divisiones menores que entrenan a diario en su campo deportivo. "Nosotros contamos con las categorías Sub 13, 15, 17 y 19 y de ahí tienen que salir nuestras figuras para el primer plantel que juega en la Primera A", aclaró.
Con el fin de jugar sus partidos de local, la directiva también buscará los recursos económicos para mejorar su campo deportivo; asimismo, ampliar las graderías. "Este año nos lanzamos con todo y esperemos contar con el apoyo de las empresas", agregó.
Becas para los mejores. Héctor Saldías también manifestó que todos los atletas que se destaquen en alguna competencia internacional tienen pase directo a la universidad. "Este sistema lo venimos aplicando hace tiempo, donde la persona tiene que presentar alguna documentación que certifique su asistencia a los torneos", afirmó Saldías.
Actividades. En la jornada de hoy, los directivos del club realizarán una ceremonia en conmemoración a su 59 aniversario que cumplieron el pasado miércoles.
Entre las actividades está hacer un reconocimiento a los jugadores que formaron parte del equipo de la "U", como Limberg Gutiérrez, Víctor Hugo Antelo y Miguel Ángel Rimba. El acto se realizará a las 15:30 en salón auditorio de la Facultad de Contaduría Pública, que está sobre la avenida Busch, módulo 225 del campo universitario de la UAGRM.
